Cloudflare CEO Calls Traditional Internet Protocols ‘Dead’ in AI-Era Remarks

According to Tech in Asia, Cloudflare co-founder and CEO Matthew Prince has described the changes he expects the internet to go through in the AI era. Prince was direct on one point: traditional internet protocols are “dead.” He spent the rest of the remarks on the questions that this raises for publishers, including how they should be paid for data, how their content should be protected, and how digital trust should be built. For Prince, those are not isolated problems but aspects of a single new model required by the shift he outlined. His comments connect the technical foundation of the web to the business of online publishing as artificial intelligence begins to shape the way information is distributed and monetized.
